The 3 Main Types of Hair Loss

1. Chronic Telogen Effluvium

       With this kind of hair loss, bald spots in patches and hair thinning become noticeable. It's been most often seen in women during their menstrual cycle because they excrete blood during this period.        Blocking of 5-alpha reductase enzyme, turning testosterone into DHT was claimed to be very successful using this topical treatment.

Crinagen

       Crinagen does not contain any alcohol and side effects are not known. This scalp spray used topically is completely natural in itself. Crinagen is both safe to men and women. Proanthocyanidins and azelaic acid are the product's primary main ingredients. The manufacturer claimed both of these ingredients minimize DHT content. It also nourishes the hair follicles in the scalp.

Hair Growth Stimulators

       Tricomin, Folligen, Proxiphen (along with Prox-N and Nano Shampoo) and Retin-A are types of medications use to stimulate hair growth. However, they do not guarantee full effectiveness.

Tricomin is a topical spray that underwent a large-scale testing scientifically. Tricomin is also sold as a shampoo and as a conditioner which are used by men and women. Copper, which was proven to be beneficial to the hair is the spray's main ingredient. Some clinical studies were conducted by the FDA, with participating subjects apply the treatment twice a day for 6 months. Encouraging results were shown to be quite positive.

Retin-A (its scientific name is, tretinoin gel 0.1%), is primarily used as an acne medication. It is applied topically. Research showed that Retin-A, with or without Rogaine, may accelerate growth of some hair to those with male or female pattern baldness. Applying a thin layer of Retin-A with a cotton swab or pad to the affected areas would be beneficial when going to sleep. Be sure to keep out splashing any Retin-A near your eyes, mouth, or open cuts. Immediately washing and rinsing your hands after using the product would be preferable!

Shampoos and Conditioners

Nizoral.

       Nizoral is effective in reducing itching, redness of scalp and other side effects of Propecia and other medications. Nizoral shampoo is also beneficial in ensuring a healthy scalp. Using Nizoral for additional length of time may help to treat male (MPB) or female (FPB) pattern baldness as shown by several research conducted. It's prescribed to apply Nizoral every three days, aside from using your normal shampoo. Nizoral's effects remains for several days and it is a cheap treatment option to have a healthy scalp.

T/Gel Shampoos.

       These shampoos are primarily formulated to treat problems of the scalp such as itching, flakiness, dandruff and excess oil in the scalp. T/Gel is the brand name of several varieties of shampoos and hair medication products.

Nioxin shampoo and conditioners.

       You may consider to try the Nioxin family of hair products if you have fine, receding or thinning hair. These products are void of any drugs in the form of all-natural cleansers and conditioners. Also its other Nioxin products regarding treatments and styling. Nioxin improves ones hair's health by ensuring that the skin of the scalp is always clean and conditioned, hair follicles are strengthened and cellular activity in the scalp are energized.

DHT's efficacy is not affected in using Nioxin. These products can be used daily and may delay hair loss by keeping the follicles healthy. In addition, these products have no side effects whatsoever.

Women Hair Loss Treatment

       In treating hair loss, there are various and different ways. Treating the problem at its source is the key to treat hair loss out of poor diet or a medical condition. But The problem is a little bit difficult in some way for genetic hair loss. Minoxodil products applied topically such as Rogaine are used mostly by many women.

Rogaine is sold over the counter at the local pharmacy or supermarket in two strengths. The application of Rogaine must be continuously used for best result as well as to be effective. It will take several months before noticeable results will be felt. Coupled with or instead of applying Rogaine, some women massage their scalp with essential oils or herbal preparations to stimulate growth.

Mixing and blending your own mixtures of rejuvenating oils in a carrier oil such as jojoba can be done, or purchasing a ready-made blend specifically formulated for hair loss would be much more convenient.

A daily massage can be soothing and help even to speed up regrowth of hair either before or after shampooing. While waiting for results or outcome of using Rogaine, oil massage or both, you need to be patient and must persevere.

DHT Blockers
